What is the Word Cloud?

The Word Cloud Generator creates a visual representation of word frequency in your text - the more often a word appears, the larger it displays in the cloud. Word clouds (also called tag clouds) are a popular way to visualise the most prominent themes and concepts in a document, survey response, speech, article, or any body of text at a glance.

Common uses include presenting survey feedback visually, summarising the key topics in a document for presentations, analysing which keywords dominate a piece of content, and creating decorative word art from meaningful text like song lyrics, wedding vows, or speeches.

How to use the Word Cloud

Paste your text into the input area, choose a colour scheme, and click Generate. The word cloud renders on a canvas element with word sizes proportional to their frequency. Common stop words (the, and, is, etc.) are filtered out automatically so only meaningful words appear prominently.

Use the Download button to save the word cloud as a PNG image. Adjust the maximum number of words and the colour palette to customise the appearance.

By default, common stop words (the, and, of, etc.) are filtered so the cloud highlights meaningful terms rather than connectors.
Yes. After generating, you can download the result as a PNG image suitable for blog posts, slides or social media.
A few hundred words produces a readable cloud. With very short inputs the cloud may look sparse; with extremely long inputs only the top 50-100 words are typically shown.
